Use case

Ad creatives from repair shop customers

When the customer collects a repair, they say what they handed over and what they got back, and they can receive a discount on the next job. For someone who has not visited yet, that description is more concrete than a price list alone. You publish the video only after approval.

A link when the item is collected

The moment is at the collection counter, when the customer has the item in hand and has heard what was done. A QR code sits on the job sheet or the warranty card. If they collect in a hurry, the email goes out the same day the job is closed, not a week later. An SMS makes sense when the number is on the job and the customer knows the shop may write about this repair.

Do not send the link when the item is dropped off. One closed job, one request. A garage, a bike shop, and a phone repair desk use the same layout.

Ask them not to show private photos, passwords, or payments. If that frame lands in the file, delete it.

Example email after the job is closed

The bike job at Warsztat Osie is closed. If you want, record about 20 seconds about what you handed over and what you collected: https://zaply.me/r/warsztat-osie. The code for the next job pays for a licence to the recording. It is still due if we do not publish the video.

Three prompts at pickup

You choose up to three lines from the catalog. For a repair shop they should cover the item, the work, and one detail from pickup. Do not ask whether the customer recommends the shop, whether they are pleased, or why they chose this workshop. Do not ask for a full name on camera.

Do not ask about a fault in the language of a medical diagnosis. This page is about repairing a thing. The sensitive-data line stays on screen and cannot be turned off. The sentences below show the direction. The phone shows the catalog text.

  • Say what you brought in for repair and what was done.
  • Describe pickup: what you got back and how it behaved when it was handed over.
  • Add one detail from the workshop or from the conversation at the counter.

A discount on the next job

A typical workshop offer is 10% off the next repair, or a diagnostic with no fee on the next job. The code has to be enterable on the next bill, without a separate office approval. You decide whether it goes out right after the file or after you approve the recording.

The code is not a bonus for praising the mechanic. It is still due when the description is plain, critical, or when you do not show the video at all. Do not make the code depend on the customer saying they will recommend the shop in the recording.

Where the description works

On the service page, next to the repair price list, place the 16:9 file. Someone comparing workshops sees a specific job, not only the hourly rate. A 9:16 Reel goes to Reels and TikTok. A neighbourhood ad, the 4:5 file, needs ads consent.

You update the Google Maps profile yourself. Zaply does not publish the video there and does not answer Maps reviews. The clip you select is not the full list of jobs or the full set of reviews. You approve the recording before use. Captions come from what the customer said.

  • The service page, next to the price list, 16:9.
  • A 9:16 Reel on Reels, Shorts, or TikTok.
  • A local 4:5 ad only with ads consent.
  • The Google Maps listing, uploaded by the shop.

Pickup without a script

You do not write a script for the customer to read. The prompt asks about the item and the pickup. They speak in their own words, including when the repair did not go as they hoped. You do not hide that recording so the page shows only praise described as the full set.

Before the camera there are the terms, the scope, and a confirmation that the person is at least 18. Without that there is no file and no code. Editing trims pauses and adds captions, the logo, and a short card with the shop name when it is in the profile.

Example frame

This is an illustrated frame, not a customer recording. Sample captions: “I brought a bike with a loose gear” and “At pickup the chain was tight”. The card has room for the shop logo. A real video comes from the pickup recording, after editing and approval.

Questions from repair shops

Should the customer record the fault at drop-off?

No. The link goes out at pickup or by email after the job is closed. At drop-off there is no description of the work yet. One job, one request.

What if the video shows a private phone screen?

Ask them not to show it before the camera starts. If the file contains photos, passwords, or payments, delete the recording. Do not publish that frame and do not ask for a retake with the same data.

Is a free diagnostic a valid code?

Yes, if you set that reward and can honour it on the next job. It is still a licence to the recording, not payment for praise. The code is due even without publication.

Does the video replace a Google Maps review?

No. It is a separate file you can upload to the listing. Zaply does not publish to Maps and does not collect stars. The video you show is not the complete set of reviews.
